progression of depression

1.

having a bad day?

-read Bible 
-journal 
-listen to worship music
-take a walk 
-sit in the sunshine 
-take vitamins, especially D and prenatal 
-write letters
-clean
-read spiritual help books  

i check these simple things off each day 
but it isn't erasing the overwhelming 
sadness..


2. 

you don't have to 
have a reason 
to be sad
the kind doctor said softly, 
my legs dangling over the 
leather seat, 
the thin paper crackling 
beneath my shifting weight.
a sigh of relief escaped 
my wobbling lips.

3. 

we will get you the help 
you need, 
Brandon's voice, 
soft and assuring.
i could feel it, 
even through the 
other end of the 
phone.
