little pear

i am a pear,
green&yellow
gradually latticed
across my skin,
thin
bruised
and easily torn
from
the long journey
to the
market display crate,
not to mention
rough handling.
but my flesh
just beneath
it is soft,
my nectar sweet,
and there is
a lot
of
it.
so much that
it drips from the 
corners
of your lips
after one bite.
I am a little pear,
sweet soft
and delicious
for your 
delight
but please 
handle me
with 
care.
