I put these wontons together on a whim, as i have been hyper fixated on them and eating them almost every day lately, so I thought i better jot down the sauce i made them in so i don't forget. Who knew tahini and peanut butter would go great together, and even more importantly, make a great addition to a wonton sauce. Let's get into it!
you'll need:
soy sauce
crunchy peanut butter
tahini sauce (i have found tahini in a squeeze bottle which is so convenient!)
minced garlic or finely chopped garlic cloves
chili oil crunch
sesame oil
green onions, chopped
cilantro finely chopped
splash of water from the pot water
This is also more of a measure-with-your-heart kind of recipe, so i am not going to be listing exact measurements. There is so much room for you to cater to your own preference with this, so feel free to add or subtract!
Boil some frozen wontons in a small pot. As those are boiling, make the sauce.
Combine in a small mixing bowl the peanut butter, tahini, garlic, sesame, soy sauce, and whisk to make a tasty light brown goodness, add the splash of water to get it soupy and sloppy.
drain wontons and toss in sauce. add sesame oil, green onion, and cilantro.
Enjoy, enJOY!!
