Table Talk

Growing up our family was always required to be at the table for meals. We grumbled and shuffled our feet, but somehow, we all made it. I don't think i realized the importance of it, until I was grown and now have a new family of my own. There's something to be said about taking time out of our busy lives to plop down to a great meal, great fellowship, and of course quality time. I personally have grown even more to love it because my love language has changed since nathan and I have been married. I used to feel cherished and loved when Nathan would hug and hold me, now I feel pursued when he sits down to eat a meal I've prepared for us, and gives me FACE time..

It's a good habit I think. I think it's why I love cooking so much. It brings your loved ones together, and who doesn't want to join a happy feast shared with others? Jesus promises in His word that He will bring us to His banqueting table and His banner over us is love..It shouldn't be too difficult to gather your family and spend some time eating and sharing. Catching up to speed where everyones lives are, what they're learning, and where we're going next..

We have a son of our own now, and though he may be small-I hope to teach him the importance of family, quality time, and fellowship. I'd like to be an example so that he may someday gather his own family around the table...

Wonderfully said! I love our quality dinner time, feeling the way God made us women to feel: fulfilled completely when serving her family!
