You never stopped being God
in those two separate moments,
when I lost grips
on my unborn children.
You never stopped being faithful
when my father was
diagnosed with cancer, and
stared death in the face.
You never stopped
drawing near when my eye was poisoned
and my sight was nearly lost.
For You, Oh God, cling close
to the broken hearted.
You are whispering to
the lowly in spirit.
In both death and life,
You are my Father and fierce Protector,
and may I never forget this
truth.
Never once do You fall
back on Your promises, or not
follow through with consistency.
O, my Lord, You always stay the same.
Amidst joy, amidst pain,
amidst the unknown,
Your mercy remains,
of this I am sure.
Jesus, let me never forget Your
Love, Your unselfish, passionate,
fierce love for me.
Your mercy, Your grace,
the knowledge and wisdom to
understand Your heart
even if I am sitting in a pile of tears,
or my bones remain weary and slain.
You O Lord are a good, good God,
and may I praise You
and lift Your Holy Name forever.
amen.
