i've made balls* before, but this recipe is a little different. I didn't really care about the healthy factor, I just wanted something sweet and easy, and with ingredients not to hard to find. (meaning, I should be able to open my cupboard and be in hand reach of all these makings. lazy, i know.) These rolled up treats are easy, delicious, and very peanut buttery, but held together surprisingly well, and I surprised my husband with these with a big glass of milk while he was relaxing in front of the tv. These two weeks since last monday I've been on a secret mission to woo my husband, so this played out swimmingly well. I'll tell you more about that soon. but for now, mission accomplished.
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 2 tbsp honey, or another sweetener of choice (vegan route, agave or stevia perhaps?)
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
- pinch of cinnamon (eyeballed that one)
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips
Combine all ingredients in a bowl
with wet hands mix until well-incorporated.
Roll into balls with rewetted hands.
