spring transition bronzey look

back at it again in the makeup department, here is a new look that i've been playing with since it's been bit sunnier outside, less gray, and a hopeful anticipation of spring. I love the rich browns and smokey eyes for fall and winter, but as spring and summer arrive, i love to play with bronzes, imcorperate more shimmers, and playful pinks and softer shades.

this look is a bronze eye with a hint of the darker shades in the outer crease to keep the depth, and i played up the highlight and again-bronze glow for my overall look. I also introduced my lips to a soft pink shade that is forgiving, yet gives the face a warmer, yet flirty appearance. I thought it was a cheerful bright look.

here are the details for today's face:

starting with the eyes:

i prime my face with Nivea Men Post Shave Blam for Sensitive skin and whatever is left on my finger on the lids of my eyes and around that entire area.

I started with the Naked Pallet 1 by Urban Decay and packed on the shade Half Baked over my entire eyelid.  i used a flat brush that came with the NP 2.

On the outer corners of my eye, i used a deep plum color  from the Carli Bybel Pallet as my base to use a transition shade. blend blend blend! I used a short bristled round small brush by Sonia Kashuk. [this set is from Target]

I continued building up that outer crease as well as the entire top crease part of my lid with the color Buck from the Naked Pallet 1.  i used the same brush as before.

Lastly to build a bit of depth and dimension to the corners, i used the shade Creep to really deepen the corner, i used the edge of a card to keep the line nice and sharp. i packed on Creep and gently blended it out just a bit but really purposed to keep it where i packed it.

Lastly, to bring back just a bit more light to the center of my eyes, i used my finger to dab on a shimmery light bronze color from the Carli Babel Pallet right above my pupil. This brings back attention to the center of your eyes and makes them pop just a bit extra.

I lined my eyes with Liquid Eye Liner from NYC.

I added Demi Wispi Lashes.

For my face:

i did a lighter touch on the contour, but i still can't help but carve out a bit..so i used my Contour Kit Chisel Cheeks by BarryM
and the tone is for Medium to Dark Tones.

I contoured my cheek bones, my lower jaw line, and a bit by my temples.

I used the highlight shade to soften the dark under my eyes and swiped it a bit down my nose.

For bronzing and highlighting i used the highlighting shades from the CB pallet and went over my contour with the deepest bronze color, very coppery with red undertones, i then highlighted just the tops of my cheekbones with the second to  lightest highlighter which has hint of yellow glow to it.

On my lips i lined them with the color Wine. I found this liner at Primark

For lipstick I used Thalia 529 by NYX.

p.s the reason why i have random clothes on is because i started out with my scrub clothes, took pictures with window light, realized i was wearing scrub clothes and then got dressed:) Nathan then took a few more pictures for me.

I hope you like this look and it maybe encourages you to try it out for yourself or it inspires you to create your own! blessings!
