The Award Show

Wow! I feel so special on the inside! I've somehow recieved an award for -Versatile Blogger-, given by way of sweet Lindsy Griffis. An encouraging way to "share in the love" as she would say, and let me know she keeps up with my little heart in this blog. What a little blessing just for me! (disclaimer: i'm sorry I say little a lot.)

So how this thing works..I get a little-ooh, there i said it, interview and answer a few questions and then pass on the award to those I deem award worthy!

THANK THE PERSON WHO BESTOWED THE AWARD AND GIVE CREDIT WHERE IT IS DUE:

oh, this is just grand..Lindsy Griffis is a beautiful, blue eyed blonde haired knockout who I met through our family community at Crossroads. We both sing on the worship team (the girl's got some pipes) and well, after uncovering the surface, we've come to discover we've got a couple things in common. Of course I was scared of her at first (if you know me, I'm scared of EVERYONE at first, and super intimidated) but she turned out to be not so scary.
Now, she lets me bring her crazy tasting meals, and spy on her personal life story..

WHY DON'T YOU TELL US 7 THINGS ABOUT YOURS TRULY?

um, ok. one. I've traveled to my place of origin, Dhaka, Bangladesh twice in my life. I went through a mission team at Mars Hill the first time, and the second, more so on my own. It was amazing to witness firsthand, just what exactly God had brought me out of, and what a life He has given me. I spent 3 months there, learning the culture, loving the brown eyed orphans, and surrendering my body and soul to Jesus. It was a swell time. Perhaps someday I shall pilgrim there again.

ok. two. I'm sure you can tell if you get a chance to peek at my blog that I love cooking. My bigger dreams with this, more so than blogging recipes and eating food are creating a tiny little cooking show on youtube as well as cranking out a cookbook of all my little creations in the kitchen. I have such a passion to make something out of nothing FOODwise, and share it with everyone! I love hosting dinners and carting meals to people, and I feel this is a tiny zeal God has given me to serve His people!

three. this is getting hard. Let me throw praise to my husband. My man and I, Nathan Phillip English have been married just about 4 years this summer. (7.15.2007) Marriage has truly been such a joy and I am so incredibly blessed by this man of God. We have a great companionship, as well as deep love, and it's never been too hard to be around the guy..;) We love to picnic at the vineyard, watch movies real late, try new resturaunts, and worship TOGETHER. We even sang a song together at our wedding! He is a remarkable man, and I feel honored God gifted me with nathan.

four. We share a delightful first born son, Benjamin Michael. He will be two this summer. He is full of mischief and life and we love him so much. He loves to talk and laugh, and be outdoors like his dad. He is quite tender like his mama, and is always full of hugs and kisses, and "luv you's". He will be a big brother this november, and we are excited to expand our fam!

five. Jesus is teaching me right now to remove jealousy and selfishness, and place my complete trust in Him. I am also learning a little bit about true confidence in Christ. I have a LONG ways to go.

six. One of my favorite places to be on earth is a little island called Isla Mujares. Nathan and I honeymooned there and have since been back. Blue green water, palm trees, authentic food and unlimited sun-sounds like heaven to me...or as close as I can get for now..

seven. I hate middle parts on heads if they don't naturally belong there. It makes me want to throw up just looking at it.

PASS ON THE LOVE AND GIVE RECOGNITIon TO OTHER BELOVED BLoGGErS:

1. Chelsea Gentry. amazing writer. lover of people, lover of GOD.
2. Tammy Dykstra. gifted teacher and communicator. makes some killer peanut chicken.
3. angela bergsma. pretty hot commodity. supermodel. supermom. supermusician.
4. veronica hamlet. surrendered follower of Jesus. inspirational mother, reflecting the tendersided nature of GOD.
5. Meghan Sawdon. pure.genuine. so refreshing. a heart of a little mama.

That's all I've got, folks! Be sure to click the links to check these amazing women out!

I came home from a hair appointment once and ran upstairs and messed my hair all up on purpose because she dried it with a middle part! UGHHHH! I guess we are quirky eh?!
