An Ode to Bobby Flay

After watching Food Network for hours, you feel like you get to know your favorite celebrity chefs in a deeper way..They have that affect on their viewers..So warm and welcoming in front of the camera, calm and easy demeanor-it's as if they've stepped into your very own kitchen and are delighted to tinker around in the kitchen with you.
I have to say my absolute favorite chef, as well as huge influence and inspiration for my own cooking is Mr. Bobby Flay. It's quite obvious he is most excellent at what he does. I mean, his work is LOUD and clear. He's got plenty of TV cooking shows, owns his own restaurants, and is well known all over for his skill. He exudes a warm, friendly personality, dedicated work ethic, and produces beautiful, mouthwatering food!!
One of his shows, Throwdown with Bobby Flay, I am continually impressed with him. He finds someone that specializes in a certain type of food or meal, and then he challenges them to a throwdown in seeing who can make it better. Bobby can make anything, and I always root for him. If he wins, he's gracious, if he loses, he's even more gracious. I admire his humility and grace even thought I KNOW he's the best of the best. He never acts like it.
Some day, I hope to meet this incredible chef. He's taught me so much about the world of food and good meals, watching him only encourages me to keep perfecting my craft and strive to be better and more creative in the kitchen. I also admire his people skills as he interacts with so many different personalities, yet still maintains his easy going mentality.
I would really like to commit to praying for this kind sir this year, as I see how God has blessed his hand mightily and I'm sure He will continue to do so.
Thank you Bobby Flay for touching even the smallest of lives...
